Most Australians are used to waking up early in the morning, eating dinner in the evening, and going to bed early at night.
They don’t like to shop after working hours and they prefer to shop online or during the day; therefore, most shops, shopping centers and malls close from five pm to seven pm.
Of course, it depends on where you are staying, which part of the city or in the suburbs you are in. Some cities or even some streets and areas within cities, such as the city center, are more different. And restaurants and shopping malls may stay open later or for twenty four hours day and night. However, during the week especially in the suburbs practically after five pm to seven pm, everywhere is quiet and devoid of traffic.
During the week, after working hours (which is usually from 7:30 to 9 am up to 15:30 to 5 pm), they prefer to spend their time with their family members and friends or go to bars, clubs and discos.
On weekends, they like to spend the day in nature or on the beach or at cafes and restaurants for breakfast and lunch, or engage in artistic activities, visit museums and galleries, or go to watch sports competitions or play sports. They especially like cricket and Australian rules football (footy). برای فارسی اینجا کلیک کنید
